About Patrick

An entrepreneur at heart, Patrick Lafferty has always loved building businesses that solve problems and create value for clients. With an undiscovered but long-standing affection for real estate, Patrick got licensed with his wife Marcia in 2006, with intrigue for investing, while he continued to run a boutique web design company he co-founded years earlier. In the summer of 2008, while the real estate was crashing and with a baby on the way, Patrick and his wife decide to embark on a new career in real estate. With a passion for design and love for technology, Modern Living Real Estate was birthed, a boutique West Palm Beach-based real estate brokerage focused on the luxury condo and historic home market. Patrick built a brokerage and his personal business at the same time from the ground up, focusing on internet marketing and a high level of service. After 10 years of building the business with an eye always on the future of real estate, Patrick decided that his brand aligned so well with Compass’s “high tech, high touch” approach, he decided to become a founding agent for Palm Beach County.

Believing that technology should enhance but not complicate the process, he provides his clients a smooth and memorable experience through what can be one of life’s most stressful transactions. He believes in building relationships, possessing razor-sharp knowledge of inventory, and giving clients a “wow” level of service. After negotiating thousands of deals, Patrick knows how to negotiate to get his buyers the best deal, or his seller their price. For many years, Patrick has consistently been a top producer in Downtown West Palm Beach and a leader in the community. With a deep passion for people, Patrick loves to support the local community initiatives, small businesses, and his local Church. On the weekend, you will find Patrick & Marcia enjoying the city they love; whether at the local green market, boating, or enjoying a delicious meal at a “foodie” restaurant locally. When they can get away, Patrick and his family love to travel to the mountains or a lakeside getaway, always enjoying a great cup of coffee and finding new restaurants in each city along the way.
