Introducing the Fly & Buy Concierge

In many ways, choosing a new home also means choosing a new hometown and embracing your desired lifestyle. Pinpointing the best nearby cafe or museum can be just as important as deciding on your home's ideal square footage. At the Modern Living Group, we are passionate about sharing all that Palm Beach County has to offer to our prospective buyers. So to showcase the distinctive Palm Beach lifestyle, we have launched our Fly & Buy Concierge Program — a curated weekend of property showings alongside excursions exploring the sights, sounds, and flavors of Palm Beach County’s most coveted neighborhoods.

When purchasing a new home or condo out of town, we’ve seen that buyers often miss out on experiencing what it would feel like to live in their new potential hometown. With Fly & Buy we plan to remedy that. Done are the days of lackluster accommodations, bad dining experiences, and unenthusiastic realtors that ruin your home search weekend. Let us be your guide. Experience your new town like a local, with a true taste of the Palm Beach lifestyle while you shop for your dream home - and the best part - if you buy a home, your trip is on us.*

Organized by our client concierge Emily Sehres, you will experience a whirlwind jaunt through local attractions. Think boat rides through our winding waterways, retail shopping along the iconic Worth Avenue, exploring the best of contemporary art at the Norton Museum, or sampling decadent seafood from internationally renowned restaurants.

“We want you to really experience what it's like living in Palm Beach County,” says Sehres of this unique experience. “You’ll see how wonderful our cities are and what sets them apart from other places in South Florida.”

Fly & Buy: The Experience

Below is a sample itinerary of your curated Fly & Buy weekend. Because each client is different, we curate this experience based on their specific needs and interests. The beauty of Fly & Buy is it’s customizable. Experience as much or as little of the Palm Beach lifestyles as you like.

Day 1

At Palm Beach International Airport, a chauffeured ride will take you to your hotel, The Ben — a luxury boutique waterfront property at the heart of downtown West Palm Beach. The Ben represents the peak of relaxed decadence, with premiere views of Palm Harbor Marina and the Intracoastal Waterway, as well as interiors inspired by Ben Trovato — the grand 19th-century estate of West Palm Beach socialite Byrd Spilman Dewey.

After checking in, you can go aboard a boat tour of Palm Beach County’s iconic waterways. The experience can be catered to your particular interests. For Sehres in particular, “my all-time favorite spot to visit by boat is Peanut Island” — a beloved storybook islet with sugar sand beaches and a lagoon perfect for snorkeling. Sehres then recommends “ an amazing lunch at Sailfish Marina.” The Sailfish Marina Resort is a tropical vacation paradise with Old Florida charm. Home to a world-famous fleet of luxury sport fishing yachts and water taxis that will take you cruising through the Palm Beaches. Along with the fabulous waterfront restaurant that will cook your fresh caught fish for you!

The day then ends with dinner at Buccan, the lauded, James Beard-nominated Palm Beach restaurant by Chef Clay Conley. Known for its innovative twists on American cuisine, the luxe bistro offers an array of small plate delights showcasing eclectic flavors and influences. We highly recommend trying the Sweet Corn Agnolotti!

Day 2

The search for your next home begins by sharing morning coffee with your Modern Living Group realtor. Each of our team members value a holistic perspective, not only in helping you to choose the right property, but also the right neighborhood experience. With this in mind, you will spend the morning exploring a curated list of home showings that best suit your needs and cater to the Floridian lifestyle of your dreams.

Early afternoon is a dedicated free time period for exploring the Palm Beaches. “This is completely customizable to what the client needs, with specific recommendations based on the city they are looking to buy in,” notes Sehres.

For avid shoppers, there’s the unparalleled experience of strolling through the high-end boutiques of Worth Avenue and Royal Poinciana Plaza. More than luxury shopping destinations, both sites exemplify iconic South Florida architecture, created by 20th-century visionaries like Addison Mizner and John Volk. Then there’s booming Downtown West Palm Beach. The Clematis District and The Square boast vibrant street life full of shopping and entertainment.

The Palm Beaches are also an oasis for nature lovers, from paddling through freshwater wetlands to birdwatching for rare birds only seen in South Florida. For Sehres  “I recommend a walk along the Lake Trail in Palm Beach.” Five and a half miles long, the path runs the entire western length of Palm Beach island, lined with towering ancient trees, modern outdoor sculptures, and historic sites like the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum.

There is also a lot to explore for those who are culture-inclined. Institutional landmarks like the Norton Museum of Art and the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts remain beacons of cultural programming. Taking advantage of Floridian sunshine, unique destinations like the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens and the Morikami Museum, and the Japanese Gardens bring cultural experiences outside.

A round of golf may also be in order. And aficionados are spoiled for choice among the world-class courses concentrated in Palm Beach County, dubbed Florida’s golfing capital. A highlight is the champion course at the PGA National Resort and Spa, home to the famed Honda Classic.

The night concludes with dinner at the Palm Beach Grill, a beloved Palm Beach eatery known for its classic, yet sophisticated take on New American cuisine. Think quintessential steakhouse delights paired with luxurious seafood.

Day 3

Our final day concludes with breakfast at a local eatery. Then you will meet with your realtor to discuss the next steps to procuring your dream Florida home. Your stay will conclude with lunch together, before a chauffeured drive to your flight at the Palm Beach International Airport.

Fly & Buy: The Perks

We believe learning firsthand about your new hometown is an invaluable experience. That’s why we created the Fly & Buy experience, so you can explore all that Palm Beach County has to offer, on us! If you purchase a property with our team within 90 days of your Fly & Buy experience, we will provide a credit of up to $18,000 toward your home purchase at closing. All accommodations, food, and activities on the official itinerary count toward your credit. For additional deductions, you can also provide expense receipts for itinerary-rated costs not accounted for by us.

The final total will then be deducted from the final purchase price. The credit will be determined by a tiered rate based on the final closing cost of your property, which is broken down below.

We hope this curated experience will encourage you to claim your own slice of Palm Beach County. A Florida home, after all, is so much more than real estate; it is an open door to a sun-drenched life of endless discovery.
