5 Fun Things To Do In Downtown West Palm Beach During Fall

Surrounded by streets lined with palm trees & just a short ride from the beach, the season of fall may feel a little far fetched. We’re digging deep into our city, visiting some of our favorite local spots to create a list of things to do during the fall season. Our South Florida leaves aren’t changing to amber and the weather isn’t getting too chilly, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate in our own creative ways. Whether you’ve considered West Palm Beach home for years or you’re visiting for the first time, it’s always nice to discover something new to do.

Here’s a list of fun things to do in West Palm Beach during Fall. We hope to bring a little bit of seasonal joy through these ideas and show you that our city is a lovely place to be every season of the year.

Subculture Coffee West Palm Beach

1. COCONUT PUMPKIN LATTE

Here’s a South Florida spin on a fall classic. Ditch the traditional pumpkin spice latte and head to Subculture Coffee where you’re always sure to find something unique in flavor and experience. Rich espresso combines with frothy steamed milk while the toasted coconut & warm pumpkin spice syrup are added to complete this delightful drink. Pair with a coconut oatmeal cookie or a thick cut slice of pumpkin bread for a complete fall treat.

West Palm Beach Greenmarket

2. THE GREENMARKET

Saturday mornings are something to look forward to in Downtown West Palm Beach. Take a bike ride or enjoy a walk down to the Waterfront. Local coffee roasters and bakeries bring their most delicious drinks and pastries for a sweet start to the morning. The market is loaded with a variety of vendors and small businesses, creating a strong sense of community and a place to support one another. Shop organic produce, plants, florals, locally made jams, granola & fresh seafood. Grab a bite to eat, picnic on the green, and soak up the sight of neighbors gathering, dogs playing and the celebration of a beautiful city. We are proud to say that the West Palm Beach GreenMarket has been recognized as one of the best in the country.

Our Saturday morning suggestion – an americano from Pumphouse Coffee Roasters and the cider doughnuts.

Pumpkin Patch West Palm Beach

3. VISIT A PUMPKIN PATCH

What’s fall without a trip to the pumpkin patch? Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns Pumpkins has everything you need! From a field full of pumpkins, a bounce house to a pumpkin decorating station, you’ll be sure to have a great time. Pumpkins range from small & decorative to large and festive! Take the entire family and enjoy the activities for all ages. There are so many things to do all in one place!

Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns is located in the heart of Downtown just east of  The Square.

Bike Trail Palm Beach Florida

4. BIKE RIDE & PICNIC

Planning a bike ride & picnic is another fun thing to do in West Palm Beach during fall. Pack a lunch and hop on your bike. Downtown West Palm Beach has so many scenic places to sit and picnic. For a more adventurous ride, head east through Downtown and make your way toward the Okeechobee bridge and over to Palm Beach. The Lake Trail is a great escape from the fast paced lifestyle you’ll find Downtown. Find a nice spot on the Intracoastal and enjoy the Downtown cityscape of neighboring West Palm Beach. When looking for things to do in West Palm Beach, a bike ride and picnic is a great idea, year-round.

Blink Monk West Palm Beach FL

5. HOST WINE PAIRING DINNER

Dining out is always fun, but there’s something nice about hosting a dinner in the comfort of your own home when the weather starts cooling. Set your table with fall decor and invite your friends. Pick up a bottle of wine from The Blind Monk, our neighborhood wine bar located at the bottom of The Whitney building. We suggest a bottle of Beaujolais, a classic Fall wine that pairs well with your Thanksgiving turkey and dressing. They always offer 20% off all bottles of wine & beer to-go. Cheers!

There are plenty of fun things to do in West Palm Beach during the fall. Don’t let the lack of warm colors or cool weather keep you from enjoying one of the most festive times of the year.
